16th Holi Mela Festival
Indian National Culture Centre SITA organised the 16th Holi Mela on the 6th of April. The event included playing Holi, dance competitions and performances, mouth-watering food, and most importantly festive vibes!

75th Anniversary of the founding of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)
On April 9, 2024, the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center at the Embassy of India in Moscow organized the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at the D. P. Dhar Hall.

Sindhi New Year and Eid celebration
The Indian National Cultural Centre “SITA” and Indian Films collaborated to host a vibrant celebration marking Sindhi New Year and Eid at the Imperial Tailoring Co.

Baisakhi Celebration
On the 13th of April, Baisakhi was celebrated at the temporary Gurudwara in Hotel Sevostopol, as the main Gurudwara building is being renovated. The celebration included “paath” and “langar” for everyone.

Vishu and Eid Celebration
The All Moscow Malayali Association organized an event to mark the Keralite new year “Vishu” and “Eid”. The celebration consisted of dance performances, singing performances, and the special Eid biryani!

Hanuman Janmotsav
The Indian community held a Hanuman Janmotsav celebration on the 23rd of April in the premises of a residential complex in Simferopolskiy Bulvar. The celebration included a “Sunderkaand Paath” and “Prasaad”.

Mango Festival 2024
The Embassy of India in Moscow and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority organized the second Indian Mango Festival 2024 in Moscow. A total of 7 varieties of Indian mangoes were presented at the Festival (Alphonso, Amrapali, Mallika, Kesar, Badami, Totapuri and Rajapuri). More than 10 Indian exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables took part in the event and held B2B meetings with Russian food companies, retail chains, banks and logistics companies. There is a potential demand on the Russian market for 50 thousand tons of mangoes and mango products and almost 450 thousand tons of grapes.

Nrityarang
The Rupak Nrityalaya troupe, led by Manjiri Karulkar, presented a mesmerizing Kathak performance at the. D.P. Dhara Hall, Moscow. The concert, titled “Nrityarang”, showcased various aspects of Kathak dance and was warmly received by the Russian public. The group was invited to perform at the International Festival of Theater Schools of the BRICS Countries with the support of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Cultural Fusion Fiesta
Russia Indian Friendship Society “DISHA” and the Moscow House of Nationalities put up a cultural fusion fiesta where the Russian kids revelled in the demonstration of Indian culture, through Indian dance, mehendi, Indian food, and wearing Indian costumes.
