Shweta Ji came to Moscow after her marriage in the 1990s to her husband, Mr. Shekhar Singh who is well-known as the CEO of “Shreya Life Sciences”. She had completed her degree in fashion studies from India, then after coming to Moscow, she continued her studies by first learning the Russian language and then completing a diploma in fashion studies from Moscow.
She owns a styling house where she styles Russian artists in Indian ensembles. Further, she also completed a diploma in sculpture and modelling, she even pursued sculpting as a profession. She has exhibited her works in prestigious exhibitions, gracing the halls of renowned museums in France, Luxembourg, and Istanbul. In 2018, Shweta Singh received an accolade in bronze sculpting from the French Artist Group, recognized by the Artistic Group of Luxembourg Museum, she earned the Art Appreciation Certificate in sculpture for the year 2020, furthermore, the Art & Artist International Association in Istanbul, Turkey, honoured her exceptional work in sculpture with the Artistic Achievement Certificate in 2022.
Besides this Shweta Ji is also a poetess, many of you know her through her pseudonym, “Uma” which is inspired by her father’s name who was also a literary enthusiast. She has received many literary awards for her works.
She also serves as the CEO of the multimedia platform “The Creative Paradise” dedicated to media, art, and literature. “The Creative Paradise” hosts a plethora of literary and cultural events in Russia, featuring ongoing performances of theatre, cinema, music, and literary activities. It stands as a prominent media institution, consistently organizing a diverse range of literary, musical, and cultural programs.
Shweta Ji’s contribution to the realms of art is outstanding, and her efforts to promote Indian culture by organizing various events, especially “Chhat Puja”, is commendable and inspiring!
