“Eco-friendly stationery products that contribute to 4 of the sustainable development goals laid down by UN”.
Rescript was founded in 2019 when two good friends in Bengaluru, Ashutosh Ananth and Naren Raj decided to come together and finally address the problems of used virgin paper ending up in landfills. They did so by researching and coming up with an eco-friendly way of recycling paper. Their efforts resulted in the establishment of “Rescript”, a stationery brand with products such as copier paper as well as notebooks, journals, pens, and pencils, all made from waste and recycled materials.
Ashutosh is an Alumnus of Christ University and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Prior to Rescript, he co-founded an instant food business and gained a lot of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. He co-founded Rescript because of his passion for bridging the gap between Sustainability and the corporate world. While Naren graduated from Christ University and worked with a corporate company for a brief period, his passion for business and emerging trends encouraged him to explore the option of sustainability. His enthusiasm for Rescript stems from his desire to instil sustainability at a subconscious level for every individual, business and organisation. So, their experience in the corporate world and a shared vision brought them together to set up this venture.
Rescript claims to have saved 4900+ trees, and 9.2 million litres of water, and have prevented 215,740 Kg of CO2 emissions to date. Their mission is to make sustainable, quality products available to the world. They were also nominated for the Economic Times Startup Awards 2023.
You can be a part of this mission and contribute your part in the goal of achieving sustainability by supporting their venture and buying sustainable stationery from their website: www.rescript.in.
