Through the lens

We, a group of young Indian artists, were invited to the Tavrida Forum in Crimea. On the last day of the forum we were allowed to explore the beautiful city of Feodosia, so here we are sharing our experience in Feodosia!

The easiest and the most visually appealing way to reach Feodosia is by train. You can book tickets online from Moscow to Feodosia. The train station is located right next to the seashore, and the moment you step out of the station you find yourself in the very heart of this small city surrounded by bustling streets and beauty.

You can stay at one of the many beautiful local hotels in the city. You can easily find hotels at a reasonable price even near the sea!

One of the best ways to start exploring the city is by taking a walk along the seashore where you can witness the mesmerizing beauty of the black sea, the lively streets of Feodosia, beautiful artworks, eye-catching sculptures and architecture, Bollywood like train tracks, museums, theatres, and the bazaars.

The variety of souvenirs to choose from will make you want to buy every one of them, and the best thing is that most of the souvenirs sold here are handmade! We bought a couple of handmade miniature ships and fridge magnets.

The food here is super cheap, if you prefer eating at a fancy place then also, you might end up paying approximately just 1000 rubles for one meal, otherwise, you can find good quality food at local “stolovayas” or you can try the street food there, and for health-conscious friends of ours, the city offers a variety of fresh fruits and berries at super cheap prices! We started our day with a bottle of yoghurt and a box of berries, then we had lunch at a fancy restaurant near the arcade which barely cost 800-900 rubles per person, and then we had an early supper at a stolovaya near the train station, which offered fresh food for just 300 rubles!
